    Suicide is among the top 10 causes of death in the United States.  More people kill themselves than others.  No therapist is completely free of the responsibility to assess and respond to the risk of suicide.  Evaluating and responding to a suicide risk is the most frequent mental health emergency.  More information>

  • Politics and Therapy: A Heady Mix

    Workshop Presenter: Lawrence Blum, M.D.  

    The amplified presence of politics in the minds and lives of our clients is impacting our clinical work, challenging our ability to help clients stay focused on the therapeutic task. This workshop explores the ways current political circumstances are influencing the practice of psychotherapy and discusses how we can harness current issues to enrich our work. More information>
